Updated May 13, 2009 WASHINGTON, May 12, 2009 - Federal Housing Administration is going to permit its lenders to allow homeowners to use the $8,000 tax credit as a downpayment. If you or someone you know has been trying to save for their down payment or raise gift funds, can now use the tax credit for FHA loans for the down payment. Currently interest rates are low, now is a chance to receive money from the government for a buyer's down payment and receive a low monthly payment. In the last two months our first time home buyers have had monthly payments of principal and interest less than rent for a two bedroom apartment. Homes that qualify for this incentive sell quickly, it is important that the buyer is preapproved for their mortgage before they write an offer to purchase. If you have any questions please contact us. Talk to you soon, Mike and Ceili Yablonsky The most recent $787 Billion Dollar stimulus package offers a great opportunity, for first time Homebuyer's. You may qualify for a Tax Credit for up to $8,000. Some lenders are using this as a down payment towards the purchase of your new home. With FHA and Conventional loan interest rates being less than 6%, this is an opportunity not to pass up. As with all government tax credits time is limited.
